St. Kateri CES Update for Parents

Dear Parents,

We pray everyone in our St. Kateri family is keeping safe and staying healthy.  We truly miss having your children attend school in the formal sense and look forward to the day we are able to return.  Thank you for all of your assistance as we work together to support your children’s education through Distance Learning.  Please continue encouraging your children to access the learning being provided by their teachers.  Remember, should you or your child ever have any questions, their teachers are only a message or email away.

As you heard earlier this week, the Ontario Government has decided that schools will remain closed until the end of the school year.  That decision was based on protecting the health and safety of your children, your families and our community.  With this announcement, we know there are many questions about logistics, safety procedures and protocols.  Please know that we are awaiting guidance on items such as: Grade 8 Grad, Welcome to Kindergarten Orientation and school access to pick up personal belongings.  Our School Board, who is working closely with Public Health and the Ministry of Education on these matters, will be providing direction in the coming days and weeks.    Please be assured that as we receive information, we make sure we share that information in a timely manner with our school community via Newswire.

As we approach Pentecost, the conclusion of our Easter Season on May 31st, let us continue to find joy and encouragement knowing we are, and always will be, People of Hope.

God Bless,

Mr. Dave Lynch                       Ms. Rosemary Kavanagh
