Holy Week

This past Sunday – Palm Sunday – we celebrated Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.  He was welcomed by people waving palms, shouting, “Hosanna to our King!”  This week sees us celebrating our three holiest days of the year: Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday – The Easter Triduum.  Thursday morning, students will attend a virtual prayer service and learn the lesson of humility Jesus shared with us when he washed the feet of his disciples before the Last Supper.  Since we will not be at school Good Friday, our school community will also solemnly celebrate Jesus’ great act of love for us by virtually walking the Stations of the Cross and reflecting on how we can make changes in our lives rooted in the lessons Jesus taught us.

Details about resumption of clinical services will be provided before the end of the school year. School program catch up immunizations for the 2019/2020 cohort of Grade 7 students have been paused with the arrival of COVID-19 vaccine in December.

Fourth Week of Lent – Prayer

God who created me,

You offer me new life through your Son

and through the gift of your sacraments.

While I see new life all around me,

I don’t always recognize the new life you offer me.

Help me to grow this Lent in an awareness

of the gifts you place in my life

and in a greater appreciation for your care.

Give me the courage to ask for help.
