Bulldog Bulletin – October 3, 2022

National Custodial & Maintenance Worker Recognition Day

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all our Board Custodians and Maintenance Workers.  Sunday, October 2, 2022, was “National Custodial and Maintenance Worker Recognition Day”.  The role of the school custodian has changed immensely over the course of the past couple of years. We can’t thank our custodial staff enough for their hard work, their dedication to the job, and their continued role in the safety of all.

We would also like to thank the many board maintenance workers that work hard in all our schools, to keep things running smoothly.  Many times, your work is done in the early hours of the morning or the late hours of the evening, and we don’t even see you in the building.  We do, however, benefit from your hard work every day and recognize today, your important contributions to the success of our schools and our students.

A special thank you to Asher, Joel, and Shawn for their work at St. Kateri Tekakwitha CES!

Canned fruit and vegetables

Rice Soups and Stews

Cereal

Peanut butter or other sandwich spreads

Individual packets of oatmeal

The UMBRELLA PROJECT IS BACK!

The Umbrella Project will be beginning this week! Our theme for the Month of October is GRATITUDE.  Teachers will review our Umbrella Project slideshow with their students to prepare them for the skills of the month and how to earn tickets. The Umbrella Project aims to help students develop skills that will help them in all aspects in their lives – appreciation, resiliency, grit, and determination.  At St. Kateri, students will develop these skills through the lens of our Catholic Faith!

At the end of each month, the class whose students demonstrate the skill of the month will receive a pizza party!  Thank you to our Catholic School Advisory Committee for your support with this program!
