The David Edgar Journey
Thank you to our Catholic School Advisory Council for supporting this year’s Guest Speaker Series! Last week our students had the pleasure of hearing from St. Kateri alumnus, David Edgar! David, a former member of Newcastle United (Premier League), Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS), and Canadian Senior Men’s National Team, spoke about Goal Setting, Resilience, and Determination – a great message to begin 2023!
Staffing Changes & Updates
As was announced before the Christmas Break, our school has experienced some significant staffing changes recently – Vice Principal, Mr. Rose, was appointed Principal of Blessed Sacrament CES effective January 9th, Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Ciupa, has moved on to another role in our board, Planning Time Teachers, Mrs. Ritz & Mr. Kelley, who have been filling in for Mrs. Gallant this year, have returned to our board’s Daily Occasional Supply Teacher List, and Special Education Teacher, Marg Heffernan, retired. We wish everyone nothing but the absolute best in their new roles or next chapters in their lives.
Please join us in welcoming our newest staff members: Mr. Dan Ingoldsby (Interim Vice Principal), Mrs. Michelle Soulard (Special Education Teacher), and Mrs. Stacy D’Cruz (Admin Assistant). We are hoping to fill our Planning Time Teacher position this week and will update our community once that position has been filled.
Girls’ Volleyball and Boys’ Basketball
Good Luck to our Girls’ Volleyball and Boys’ Basketball Teams as they begin interschool play this week!
