Happy New Year! A reminder that one of our New Year’s Resolutions is to be more environmentally friendly.
In order to reduce food waste and garbage, please have your children bring ‘Boomerang Lunches’.
Our goal – lunches and snacks gets eaten, packaging is recycled, everything else returns home.
St. Kateri school would like to begin a Lego club for the primary students to be held during the lunch hour during the winter months. We are hoping to expand our Lego collection for this purpose and are looking for any donations of unused Lego from the staff and families of our school community. The Lego club will provide the students a fun alternative to going outside during our colder months while providing opportunities to:
- develop fine motor skills
- strengthen co-operation and social skills
- use problem solving skills
- build on oral language skills
If you are able to donate any Lego that is not being used at your home and will not be missed, we will be happy to use it here at St. Kateri!
Please drop off any Lego that you have to contribute at the main office by Thursday, January 18th.
Thank- you very much!
