Dear Parents and Guardians,
The school year is off to a flying start here at St. Kateri and everyone is getting back into their school routines. Mr. Lynch and myself have been around to all the classes to introduce ourselves and have been very impressed with how welcoming the students and staff have been. We are looking forward to an amazing year and would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the St. Kateri school community for being so welcoming.
I would also like to take this opportunity to inform parents about the school policy regarding students leaving the school grounds at lunch. The school policy allows students in grades 6 to 8 to leave the school grounds to go out for lunch. In order for your son or daughter to leave, they will need to have a note from you providing your permission for them to leave. Students must have this note with them when they arrive at school in the morning and will not be allowed to call home if they have forgotten to bring one. They will also be expected to return to school in time for the bell signaling the end of the lunch hour. Students arriving after the bell will be reminded about the expectation and will be marked late.
Please review this expectation with your son or daughter prior to allowing them permission to go out for lunch.
